About the League

We were players first. We played in other leagues — leagues that didn't track stats, didn't get the calls right, didn't care about the experience, and definitely didn't put players first. So we took everything we wanted and built it ourselves.

Silk Road Basketball is what a recreational league is supposed to be: organized, competitive, and built with the players at the center of every decision. Custom jerseys, certified refs, tracked stats, real media — because the people who lace up deserve better than a pickup run with a scoreboard.

League Rules

The Code

Rule 01

Game Format

Games are played in two halves under high school rules. Teams must have a minimum of 5 players present by tip-off.

Rule 02

Roster & Eligibility

Minimum 8 players per roster. All additions require league approval — no exceptions. Unauthorized players will not be permitted to play.

Rule 03

Sportsmanship

Respect the game and respect each other. Our referees are certified and their calls are final. Any disputes go through the commissioner after the game — never on the court.

Rule 04

Standings & Playoffs

Standings are determined by win %, then head-to-head record, then point differential. Playoff seeding is locked after the final regular season game.

Rule 05

Attire

All players must wear matching jersey colors as a team. Athletic shoes only. Come looking like a unit.

Rule 06

Payments & Fees

You are not considered signed up until payment is received in full. No exceptions. Payment secures your spot — without it, your roster is not confirmed.

No. Silk Road Basketball is invite only. This keeps the level of play and the community tight. If you're interested, reach out through the form below or text the commissioner directly.
Yes. We have a free agent pool. Teams bring up to 4 of their own players — free agents fill rosters based on team requirements. Submit the interest form and we'll place you.
All games are played at the Palmyra Community Center in Palmyra, NJ. Tuesday & Thursday nights with tip-offs at 7pm and 8pm. Occasional Occasional Wednesday pickup nights 7–9pm.
Everything. Certified referees (fully covered — no extra ref fees), full stat tracking, custom team jerseys, media production including highlights, mic'd up games, and player interviews. No hidden costs.
Yes — points, rebounds, assists tracked every player every game. PPR, +/−, rankings, advanced breakdowns, weekly and season awards. Published here and on Instagram all season long.
